WGP Deluxe 2026 Season 1 【 Cardfight !! Vanguard Regional Qualifier Tournament # 1 】

Tournament Information

Event Day: 16 May 2026
Registration Open: 30 April 2026
Registration Close: 13 May 2026
Venue: Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) Tun Razak Hall 4
Maximum Capacity: 700 players (350 players/Block)
Check in start: 8:00am
Check in close: 8:30am
Players will be distributed randomly into Block A & B on the 14th May.

Rules & Regulations

Eligibility

All players with citizenship/permanent resident visa, or student/working visa may participate in their regional qualifier. (ID check might be requested)
There will be a region lock on the eligibility of receiving invites to the World Finals.

Language

Only Japanese edition cards may be used.

Deck & Cards

All Japanese version cards officially released in Japan and distributed before or on the tournament day can be used.
It is mandatory to register the deck (submit the deck list) upon tournament registration. Discrepancies between the deck list and the actual deck used in the tournament may result in a penalty.
VG-D Ride decks will be used for this format. It is mandatory to indicate your ride deck in your deck list.
A player must use the same deck throughout a tournament. No switching of cards is permitted in between games within a tournament.

Sleeving

Players are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of the cards cannot be easily distinguished.

Oversleeves with a matte finishing on one side and gloss finishing on the other side are allowed. However, the matte finishing has to be uniform on either the front or back of the cards. Oversleeves with patterns or borders are not allowed.

Only officially licensed sleeves may be used.

Main Deck

Standard sized sleeves are not allowed for use for your main deck.
Sleeves used for all cards in the main deck must be of the same design.

Ride Decks & G Decks

Sleeves must be used for cards in the ride deck and G deck.
Sleeves must also be used for the ride deck crest.
You may use sleeves with the same design for both your ride deck and G deck.
Sleeves must have a different design from your main deck.

Aid Items

You may choose whether to use sleeves for token cards, marker cards, and cards used to count energy.
If you choose to use sleeves, please use different sleeves from your main deck.
Please do not use sleeve combinations that may cause disruptions to the fight.

Regulation & Format

Individual / Standard (VG-D) format
30 min/round
Players to be distributed randomly between Block A & Block B.
Swiss Round.
Top 16 Players from each block to advance into top cut.
Top cut 32 Single elimination: Top 8 Players will receive invitation to WGP Finale Malaysia.

Time-out Policy

Time-Out Policy

For Swiss rounds, time-out will result in a double loss for both players.
For Top 16 and 32, time-out procedure will follow Swiss rounds.
For Top 4 and 8, time-out procedure will be the following.

Players will stop playing once time is up.
Extra turns is given depending on who went first or second.
In the scenario, Player A went first and Player B went second, if time is called in Player A's turn, 2 turn is awarded to both player. If time call is in Player B's turn, Player A is only awarded 1 turn while Player B is awarded 2 turn.
Once the turns are over, if no winner is decided, Player with the more cards in their damage zone loses the game. If both players have the same number of cards in the damage zone, sudden death will occur where the next player that received damage will lose the game.
In the Finals, there is no time limit.

Regional Finals Invitation

Best 8 Players will be invited to participate in the WGP 2026 Regional Finals to compete for an invitation to the World Finals scheduled in early 2027 in Tokyo Japan.

*There will be a total of 4 regional qualifiers leading to the regional final

* A fighter who has earned the "Invitation to the Vanguard Championship Deluxe 2026 " (regardless of country or region) is not allowed to participate in any subsequent "Vanguard Championship Deluxe 2026 Qualifying Tournaments" held after obtaining the invitation.

Side event - 8 player tournament

Overview

The event will begin once a 8-man pod is gathered.
The entry fee is RM 45 per person.
It is a single elimination tournament.
